Here you can find spoiler free reviews for old anime and games, as well as any other game or anime related things I feel like writing. I try to stick to games that aren't obvious choices, but my anime reviews will just be for whatever. I'm still finding my style for these, so the writing quality is a bit all over the place and things are likely to get moved over time.
My favourite consoles are the Sega Mega Drive, SNES, Ps Vita, and Gameboy Advance, but I play many more than that! So I will review games for a wide variety of consoles.
Regarding Cheating, Difficulty, and Intentions...
Old games are hard, and weren't made nor intended for today's world or standards. I play most older games with save states at the beginning of levels, during quiet moments, and before boss fights. If I feel that a game is not playing fair, I won't either. It doesn't diminish the experience because I play games to experience the world, see the sights, and enjoy the audiovisual appeal. It's not important to me to get good at old games that take only an hour to finish. Similarly, the minute differences and 'advantages' to playing on real hardware don't really affect my experience, but sometimes I'll think about all the CRT users out there and sit a little further back from my TV...even so, this does mean that any comments I make about difficulty are based on the modern experience with emulators, where lives/continues aren't really a factor, but theoretical input lag could be.
